27th Annual Ice Melt Contest 2012

You may be thinking of spring and how you'll be hiking in just a couple of months, but The Rotary Club of Summit County is thinking about ice. Yes, ICE. Our 27th annual Ice Melt Contest has begun.

Our club raises money to support our many Rotary projects and programs. The Dillon Ice Melt Contest is one of our flagship events in our community. While there are those who might wonder, this is a game in which you can use your unique skill along with past records (printed on each ticket/website) to scientifically calculate your guess as to when the ice will melt and the clock will go in the water.

The Ice Device will be strategically deployed using the Summit County Sheriff's Department hover craft. Come join the festivities at Lake Dillon on Saturday, April 7th, at 10:00 at the Dillon Marina.

Tickets are only $5.00 and are available from your Rotarian friends and online at our website www.dillonicemelt.com . Discounts are available for multiple entries. The contest closes on Sunday, April 29th, 2012 or earlier if the clock drops in before then.

So get your tickets right now. It's a great way to enjoy our community and contribute to the success of our Rotary projects.
